Hidden Secrete of King and Queen's Living Place.

One of the interesting thing in Palace was King and Queen had lived in different room. They didn't live together. King had had a his own living house, and Qween had had a her own place.

This is King's living house in the name of Ghang Ryeong Jeon. Ghang Ryeong Jeon means 'wishing peace palace'

The name of Queen's living house is Gyo Tae Jeon. Gyo Tae Jeon means 'exchanging greatness palace' I was curious what is the greatness when I was a child. Of course, they exchanged Yin and Yang.

In Choson Dynasty, it was really important for king's family to have a boy who could link king's reign.

They could not satisfy only one option to have a heir of king out of Queen. So king should have a chance to sleep with his concubines.

When King want to have a child with Queen, he went to Queen's living house.

This kind of living style must be bad and sad for Queen.

The living place of King and Queen was very close. So Queen knows which concubine was entered into King's place. It must be a curse to Queen. But Queen never have expressed her feelings.

There are common structures in architectural perspective in King and Queen's house

There were no rooftops binding the roof tiles.

To receive heaven's power directly, they made King and Queen's living place without rooftops.

Ley's look at other buildings in the Palace
You could look at the white rooftops binding the tyles

This is the hidden secrete of Palace.

Then let's look at the inside of their house.

Inside of King and Queen's house was as humble as an ordinary novel family.

It would be very helpful for your writing

It really would, do you have any advice?

Very interesting that they don't have a rooftop. I've not been in this place. I wished you picture the king and queen too. Are they alive now?

Dynasty was gone to the past

A bitter-sweet post today,@slowwalker, describing the lifestyle of the king and queen.

It's symbolic that the roofs of their respective quarters had no binding tiles - the king and queen were only loosely bound together.

Their relationship was primarily borne of duty with the main responsibility being to produce a male heir.

The use of many concubines to ensure that there would be a male descendant only underlines the importance of this aspect and results the subjugation of their private life to the public good.

It was sad for both of them.

There was little regard for the private lives of the king and queen - even their roofs were open to permit power from above regardless of their personal discomfort.

Such a difficult life for them, @slowwalker, as they fulfilled their duties to the state.

Thank you for your explanation

you're welcome, @slowwalker

Great photos. Nice work

Thank you so much

Very interesting article with nice photos. I couldn't find the name of the present country or geographical location to refer to.

So I looked up some of the names in the post and discovered that it is Korea. Just for the information of others who might want to know.

@slowwalker - Great post, but you may like to add a line that says Korea somewhere, just so that people don't get confused. I am sure that it was an inadvertent omission and I did the right thing by adding it in my comment. Thanks!

Poor are the Queen's but sometimes poor are the Kings for the queen plotted him a surprising death, hahaha influenced by the movie. Steem on! But good post indeed. :)

lol,
So the fights in court had been happened between the Queen and concubines.

No worries about that queen already poisoned the king and she did it first to the concubines, what a wicked queen hahaha.

It's a great heritage to look at , sir @slowwalker. Choson dynasty was famous for their esteemed living style which was kind of weird as per today's generation. Although, this king and queen separate place living was really sad for queen.

Yes they were in sad destiny

very nice. I have a question for your. Have you gone there?

Thank you so much for your comment

Though the story behind the kings and queens is indeed interesting, what fascinates me is the beauty of that era's architecture. Even the simplest tile holds a certain degree of intricate vibe.

Yes, it should be.
It could be motive in drawing.
I had drawed this kinds of roofs when i was a student

Wow that's cool, how do they fasten the roof tiles? Is it true that the architects at that time didn't use nails to bring the wooden parts together?

Good work friends and thank you for sharing stories and I love the way you work .... Success always for you friends @slowwalker

It was really very heartbreaking and sad for the Queen when she saw other woman entering the room of the King!
On the other hand , the humble style inside the house is really amazing to see!

Really nice place. Upvoted

I think I am lucky not to be born in Chosun Dynasity. If I was born at that time, I must have been a bad wife.

LOL

Life was just so different in the Past that we just can´t really imagine how it might have been in Detail. Like you say it must have been strange for the Queen to know that the King had his Concubines as well but did marriages back then really happen due to love or where they more based on the status of the families like in Europe back then?

Congratulations @slowwalker!

King and Queen have a very interesting way of life! King enjoyed in his life, but Queen not at all...

She enjoyed walking around the Palace.
Actually she had a very strong political power in Royal Family.

Such interesting facts and I love the pictures your posts are something I always look forward to 😊 happy Sunday!

Beautiful! I went to Versailles outside of Paris and the king and queen also had separate quarters. They were very ornate though. You should check-out Steemit-worldmap and consider adding the code so that your work can be on the map

@slowwalker wow very interesting article you have as always i love your photos.
the culture, traditions and the photo speak itself on how korea a symbol of unity and love to his people,

the contrast and the combo colors of the symbolic place on the palace, you taken is just like a professional photographer, the angle is perfect.

the one amazes, me is that humbleness of the king and queen to become more approachable of concerns to their people needs.

all and all, i love it.
