in history •  7 years ago

In 1969 the governments of the United States and Canada have been forced to take measures to stop the erosion caused by falls.

When increase in outflow of water was insufficiently effective, in June, 1969 Niagara was started up on the new artificial course that has allowed to create a dam and to strengthen slopes at top.

Of course, the dried Niagara Falls became the main event — for the period of works crowds of tourists have rushed there, everyone wanted to see its dry personally.
