Everyone has heard the " I am the greatest" speech by Muhammad Ali.

For me that alone proves he really was the greatest.

Difficult to say. He wasn't right after his last fight against Larry Holmes.
Still, a life well lived and the dude had unbelievable courage not just in the ring and fighting illness. But refusing to fight an unjust war against his beliefs regardless of the fact the government tried to ruin him. Class.

It was very emotional putting this piece together because Ali had almost "God like" status when I was growing up and while we all know the common phrases, their were many I hadn't heard. No doubt in my mind that he was the greatest not just boxer but Sportsperson, ever!
