Our Empire was indeed dreadful throughout its recorded history.
However the illusion that it went away is most impressive.
The Empire is still there behind the scenes ruling through corporations and NGO's.
The rape of many countries resources is on-going to the detriment of the local populaces. The Empire went nowhere but the shadows and got better PR.
