Throughout history there have been many civilzations, communities or what have you that have had a great impact on our world today. Two of these very well known groups are the Celts and the Vikings. As we know in many parts of the world there are activities, celebrations and traditions that have carried on throughout the generations.

We are on the look out for said individuals. Someone who knows their heritage has posted on it and so forth. Obviously warmongering is no longer an honored tradition, it has a tendency to upset people. Yet, who know maybe yon Viking has some very lofty feature plans?

Do you know your genealogy well enough to fall into this category? Do you know how lutefisk or haggis came to be? Do you believe the show Vikings has any truth to it or is it purely a work of fiction? Do you think Erik the Red's hair color was blonde? Do you think Leif Erikson was a 70's heartthrob? Or Viking helmets used walrus tusks in the helms? If you know the truth of these questions, please be so kind to comment further or contact @viking-ventures

Don't really know much about the subject, but good luck!

Honestly, it's a joke with a friend @viking-ventures :)

OHHH HAHAHA

Hahahaha!
I did feature one today, but yes, finding a few more would be awesome!
Maybe @norwegianbikeman knows a few more who lurk around Steemit.

Am I allowed to be a genuine Viking and still love haggis? (It really is a great dish - but only as it's had in the UK - the American stuff just isn't the same.) Of course I am - there's a very strong connection between the Vikings and the Scots - as can be seen in multiple places in the language.
Here are two easy examples.

Child = bairn (Scottish), barn (Norwegian)
Church = kirk (Scottish), kjerke (Norwegian) - I think I spelled that right.
Same words...

Anyway, I'm off for the night - definitely need to find a few more Vikings around here.

I think you qualify! I saw the post getting ready to read it actually. This was my 'silly' I was planning. If I can try lutefisk then I can try haggis. I'll wait 'til I cross the pond for that. And yes your spelling is right (as far as I have learned)

Have a good night.

I haven't had the opportunity to try lutefisk, unfortunately - though if we ever get over there, we have to try that and surströmming. I'm sure my cousins will enjoy that!!! I'm sure @norwegianbikeman will have some other suggestions as well.

Well I just popped over to see what you are up to. I still can not fathom what that may be, but it looks like you are enjoying it at any rate.
Carry on. I was just lurking about.

If you read her entry for @pifc this week. You'll understand. I'll save you the trouble though. I have been giving her a hard time about finding a Viking to curate :D She's found so many unique individuals, no Vikings. I told her I had cooked up something special to see if it would help.... taa daaa a post with my wonderful sense of humor. Ok maybe it's on the dry side, my humor can go that way at times. Careful...I might challenge you to something LOL.

Oh silly me I did read it. I guess I wasn't paying too much attention to that part. Went right over my head lol
Well be warned I am slow on the uptake with those challenge things. I have two from comedy open mic right now.
But now that you mention it they do require I challenge someone when I do my post... just saying.

Some do. I try to do them when asked. What could it hurt?

This one honestly is just me being silly. Since the world has hit the crapper I think it's time to bring back a Viking horde to set things straight LOL. Maybe I'll suggest heritage for a @pifc week as a bonus entry??

Well this one does it requires me to produce two victims per entry. I may become more involved with that community they are a fun bunch. Plus the prizes are in Steem the upvotes on the posts are pretty good and some other perks. All in all a profitable use of Steeming time while having fun doing it.
I am bad about forgetting to keep the profitable part in mind while steeming. But getting a bit better with that.

I do the same. I know right now it's not so much. It does mean we need to step up more. Anytime you need to pick a victim.... add me, just use make sure its the @tryskele then GinaBot picks it up and I don't miss it. Other than that, I'd lose what's left of my brain.

Thanks I agree Ginabot saves the day for me. That and Steamworld 😊

Just trolling again! :D
