"Historical Love Triangle of the Philippines" A Gossip from the Past and Now a History

in history •  6 years ago  (edited)

Do you know about the "Secret Love Triangle of the Philippines".

The Filipinos are so addicted to soap operas.
Stop wondering why for this has a deep reason as to why this occurred. This democracy that we now enjoy was a fruit of chaotic "love triangle". The Book "Dead Aim" by Conrado De Quiros shared the love, hate and revenge story of Ninoy, Cory and Imelda. Only a few know that Ninoy was once Imelda's escort in a charity ball. Imelda was the 'Countryside Hot Chick' during that time. Ninoy admits that he once dated Imelda Romualdez. During one of his interviews, Ninoy described "Meldy" as "the most beautiful woman" who looked like the Virgin Mary!! Yes! Ninoy had a hard crush on Imelda.

On the other hand, Imelda Marcos once stated that she hated Aquino
because he dropped her like "a hot potato"
when Hacienda heirs Cory Aquino came.
But why didn't their love blossom? Ninoy kept on insisting that Imelda was "too tall for him". Was she really too tall? or too Poor? If Imelda will be asked, she knew why the spark ended. It was because she had nothing. She was a mere country girl who had nothing to boast of. She didn't mind this ending because she was confident in herself. So in the year 1953, she joined the Miss Manila beauty contest and won. Many famous men became her fans like President Elpidio Quirino and Manila Mayor Arsenio Lacson. She never expected that she will once again cross paths with Ninoy. A man who chose the affluent heir of the hacienda, Cory Aquino.

After some time, Imelda Romualdes met Ferdinand Marcos.
A congressman who she never thought will give her the "First Lady" title.

Who really has hit the jackpot?

According to Corry, Imelda was just assuming that Ninoy courted her.

What if Cory never came and Imelda and Ninoy got married? Will the two families have this feud? Will there be a bloody Edsa Revolution if Ninoy was the president?

According to some critics, Imelda and Ninoy never made it together because they had too much ambition. This ambition became was far more important than what they had. This same ambition did not only change the lives of the Marcos and Aquino, but also the entire Philippine nation. Politics is indeed personal.

Maybe all things in our history happened for a reason.

Like the soap operas that goes with the undying phrase "First love never dies"

"I am only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand"

Oh. I read your great blog about Imelda again. She is famous for her beauty and luxury in the world. Her young photo looks so charming. But I never know the relationship between Imelda and Cory Aquino--they unexpectedly loved the same man Aquino or they were once loved by the same man Aquino.
I just check the information about Aquino and his wife Cory Aquino, Imelda and her husband Marcos. Yeah, If Aquino chose Imelda at that time, the story/history of the whole Phillipine will be totally different.
I think the same case can happen in any country! The whole world is about love and hatred between man and woman.

yeah I agree with you sir... and thank you for reading me blog
