Earth remains a mystery to many of us, and the strange discoveries around the planet are here to prove it. From vampires to ufos, ancient scripture and mass grave sites, the unexplained findings have the world spooked.

Venetian vampires :

in 2006, the skeletal remains of a woman from the 16th century with a brick stuffed in her jaw were discovered in Venice. Historians first thought that remains belonged to the vampires an accused vampire, but now believe the woman could have been deemed a witch.

GRAUBALLE MAN :

in 1952, a body was discovered in a bog in Denmark which was so unusually well preserved that it's hair was still intact. The man dated back to the late third century and resembled an alien from another planet.

THE ATA SKELETON :

This little guy was found in the Chilean desert back in 2003. The body was found to have significant DNA, which was testable. The body is very tiny, with fewer ribs than most humans and a long head. It is believed that ATA is a premature fetus with some form of dwarfism, though no gene for that was ever found.

THE QUIMBAYA AIRPLANES :

the QUIMBAYA airplanes artifacts are some of the most famous artifacts ever found in Colombia and are dozens of little items. These were left by the QUIMBAYA people. But the most mysterious part of it all is that these are little airplanes. Many believe these little figurines are proof that the tribe had mastered flight or at least knew of how it could be done.

ATLANTIS :

the lost city of Atlantis has been discovered in the Bahamas, the Greek islands, Cuba, and even Japan if every claim is to be believed. First described by the ancient Greek historian Plato in 360 Bc. The mythological island was supposedly a great naval power before sinking in the sea over 10000 years ago in a catastrophic event. Archaeologists debate the actual historical existence of the island as well as its plausible location if it ever actually existed among the sunken ruins discovered around the world but even without definitive proof, Atlantis continues to engage the popular imagination like the few other arcaelogical mysteries out there.

STONEHENGE :

the prehistoric monument commonly known as STONEHENGE is one of the world's most famous landmarks. The ring of megalithic stones was built approximately 4000 years ago and was an impressive feet for the primitive people who constructed it but that's about all archaeologists know for sure. None of the theories on the original purpose of Stonehenge which range from astronomical observatory to a religious temple of healing, has ever been well set in stone.
