The first time the Zombie Pride Day was celebrated was in the US, although it soon went viral to other countries ... that began to celebrate in the streets the onomastics disguising themselves as zombies and taking to the streets to star in their own horror movie.

The mentor of this celebration is none other than the American filmmaker George Andrew Romero who celebrates his birthday on February 4. Romero was the founder of this film genre full of viscera, blood and moans with the famous cult film "Night of the living dead" that premiered in 1968. Despite not being the first to film movies with zombies, yes has been considered by popular culture as its creator, to introduce certain characteristic elements of these creatures so particular.

The festival originated in the United States but has already crossed borders and to pay homage to Romero, fans of the horror genre starring zombies, disguise themselves, put on makeup and go out to star in their own horror movie, full of Laughter and little dread.

There is no doubt that zombies are very alive in our days and not only audiovisual ("In the Flesh", "The Walking Dead", "iZombie", "Les Revenants", "Z Nation" ...); As a curiosity, there are even adapted versions with the "zombie level" for "Don Quixote", "Pride and Prejudice" or "The Lazarillo de Tormes".
