Original Song

in hive-100162 •  5 years ago  (edited)

Hi. This is a song I wrote (instrumental), and recorded it at home with basic equipment (a guitar, a modelling amp, and a PC).

The guitar is a LP style Agile AL3000, the amp is a Fender Mustang I (v1, first version). Intro and outro created with Chordpulse (freeware) and drum track created with Hydrogen (freeware). For the bass I used my guitar with a modified preset, and then lowered the track one octave down (you can hear it in the song beginning at about the 1 minute mark)

I used Audacity for recording and mixing.

I´m no sound engineer, but I tried to make it sound the best I could (to my ears, at least). Better with nice headphones.

Would love to know what you think, and resteems would be appreciated. I´m from Venezuela, and it would be a great help if it begins selling n the bandcamp site.

Here´s the bandcamp link for those who´d want to give me a hand, and below is the soundcloud link so you can listen to it as many times as you´d like.

Nice track.

BTW, you can embed the Soundcloud link using embedded code you get from the Soundcloud share; Makes your post more appealing and thge track can be played from within the Steem based post.

Thanks so much, @qsounds, I really appreciate your comments. I think I can edit the post? I´m going to check. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, you can edit your post; Just get the Soundcloud embedded code and replace the Soundcloud URL and your done :)

Done! Thanks!

Sounding good. It seems Venezuela breeds good guitarists judging from what I hear from you and @dreamrafa. The track sounds good. Audacity can be limiting for multi-track work. I use Ardour which can be got for free on Linux or a small donation on other platforms. I actually run Ubuntu Studio that comes with lots of audio software for free, including effects plug-ins. I just have to learn to use it well.

Thanks for those kind words, @steevc! I still have a lot to learn, but I´m putting my best to it. I will check on those two DAW you mentioned. The key point is if my not so powerful PC can run any of them. It´s an outdated PC to today´s standards. Thanks again!
