Fourth Portuguese Goal
Well, I predicted Portugal would win this game so that is a win for me. Yes, I said it would be 3-1 and it ended 4-0, but the fourth Portuguese goal was actually a fluke and the Czech Republic missed a penalty shot, so I think I was right on. The game started out with a lot of action and the two first chances were for the Czech's but Portugal gradually took control of the game and missed a few chances, the most apparent one was Ronaldo nearly not hitting the ball on a pass, all that was needed was a soft touch. After this Ronaldo was punched in the nose by the Czech goalkeeper, bled a lot and afterwards played with a small bandage on his nose. It was not a penalty as Ronaldo was offside, not a card offense either, the goalie was going for the ball. Then Dalot and Fernandez scored, the Czech Rep. missed their penalty and the first half ended.
The second half was easier for a very experienced Portuguese side, the Czechs tried but were stopped by the Portuguese defense, then Dalot scored the third Portuguese goal, a great goal by the way, and the game from here on was over. Diogo Jota scored a fourth goal but it was not really needed. Now Portugal have to draw against Spain in Portugal. This due to Spain surprisingly losing to Switzerland in Spain. The Czech Republic have to beat Switzerland to avoid relegation.
