I watched Manchester City vs Copenhagen mainly because I wanted to see if Halland lived up to expectations. Well he only played the first half, scored a quite difficult first goal and then one of those goals that attackers who look for them find, the goalkeeper deflected a shot and he just pushed it in. The man is an animal, an attacking animal that is, he is a constant danger and sure keeps defenses busy. After his two goals a Copenhagen defender scored an own goal and from here the game was over.
Guardiola took Halland and a few others out and City lowered their intensity, despite which they still managed to score two goals. Copenhagen had a shot go wide and one shot saved by Ederson and that was all they showed attack wise. Their Polish goalkeeper was excellent making about seven very good saves. A very interesting game if extremely one sided. I was just thinking, Halland could just not ask for a salary and be paid by goals scored, he would surely make more money. But, really as I have said before I think at the moment City is probably the best football team in Europe, if not the World.
Amazingly I correctly predicted winners and draws in seven of today's games only missed the Sevilla-Dortmund result. I even actually predicted the 3-1 result for the Leipzig-Celtic game, that is a first one for me.
