A thrilling champions league night of football. (Manchester City vs Real Madrid )

Today I come your way with the first champions league semi-finals between Manchester City and Real Madrid. Before the match, fans of both sides had the confidence that they will win. Both teams are indeed on a top level.

The interesting fact is that both teams are on top of their league table fighting for their league cups and they are also here fighting for the champions league. We were in for a very thrilling match and I knew we were not going to be disappointed. This was a clash between Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti. Let the best win.

First half
The first half was very interesting. Manchester City kicked off and the ball was rolling. Manchester City as expected was in control of the game as they possessed greater portion of the game. From the way things were going, I expected them to score first and they did not disappoint.

In the second minute, De bruyne scored the first goal of the game and the city fans all over made noise showing that they were going to put Madrid at their deserved level.

In the eleventh minute, Gabriel Jesus also scored a goal to take city up. They were threatening to pull clear. Assuming they scored three, we would have heard ‘and more and more and more. They are running riots’

In the 33rd minute, Benzema equalized one of the goals to make it 2:1. I am sure City was trying everything to prevent Madrid from scoring but they scored.

City wasted chances in the first half. They could have made it five.

They came back for the second half and the ball was set rolling by Madrid.

As expected, City came with the possession again and had some dangerous blocked shots in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Foden assisted by Fernandinho scored a goal to make it 3:1 on favour of Manchester city. Was this going to weaken Madrid? They still had fingers crossed.

In the 55th minute, Vinicius with an individual effort, scored to make it 3:2. What an interesting match.

In the 74th minute, Bernardo Silver scored to make the scoreboard 4:2

In the 82nd minute, Benzema scored a penalty to make the scoreline 4:3. After back and forth football, the referee finally brought the game to a close with a 4:3 scoreline.

I feel Real Madrid deserve applause because they did well even though they were the visiting team. City wasted a lot of chances. They could have made a very interesting scoreline but they wasted them. Madrid took their chances very well and scored three goals out of it. We look forward to the second leg.
