We live in the current mechanical city. There is not much space left. Where gardening can be done. Even then there are many hobbies. To fulfill this hobby of gardening, I have brought to you this post which will be helpful to create a garden in your home. The garden can be on your roof, on the porch, on the side of the stairs, by the window, on the tea table and many other places.
Do you want a roof garden?
Before planting a roof, you need to know the capacity of your roof. We think that the weight of the soil will be less. But there is a difference between dry soil and wet soil. Due to regular watering at the base of the tree, the soil is always wet.
Adequate sunlight position.
Sunlight is essential for the survival of trees. No tree survives without sunlight. Garden trees need to be picked, depending on the location of sunlight. There is usually direct sunlight on the roof. Another thing to note is which side of the roof receives more light. The trees should be kept in that direction.
The direction of the wind.
As the roof garden is higher than the normal garden, the wind speed is higher. Wind is beneficial for the tree. However, more wind is harmful for the tree. So if you plant a roof garden at a higher height, it will not be right to pick big trees. It needs to be considered. If it is a big high place, you can arrange to cover it with something like plastic. Covered when the wind is high. If the air is low, it should be opened.
There needs to be a drainage system.
If you want to do roof gardening, it is important to have drainage system. Otherwise, the roof will be high and low, so the water will be frozen. Due to the accumulation of water, slippery substance will be created. This can damage the roof. Therefore, it is necessary to make sure that the water does not freeze. Before gardening the roof, you can arrange the drainage with some cement sand.
Selection of soil and planting pots.
I usually use earthen pots or tubs for planting trees. In addition to earthenware pots, various tubs made of cement, plastic boxes, trays or large plastic drums can be cut and planted.
Care should be taken to reduce the weight of the soil. This can be done by mixing sandy soil and green manure. This mixed soil is light.

Light weight trees like guava, papaya, banana etc. can be planted for fruits. Roses, piles, bellies can be planted for flowers. All kinds of vegetables can be planted at all times. Such as gourd, pumpkin, carrot, cauliflower etc. can be planted.
