A spectacular natural phenomenon awaits visitors on the lower slopes of North Cotabato's Blue Mountain in the Philippines.

Asik-Asik Falls, which were just recently discovered, is quickly becoming a popular tourist attraction in Alamada, which was previously undeveloped. This remarkable natural wonder was discovered in 2010, and the cause for its discovery is still unknown.

With its streams of water gliding down 60 meters of a high rock wall to create a 140-meter-wide curtain of water and greenery, Asik-Asik Falls is definitely a magnificent sight to witness. The falls' name, which means "sprinkle-sprinkle" in vernacular, refers to the sprinkling of water over the rocks below and into the Alamada river's tribulatory stream.

The source of the waterfall remains a mystery because the entire ravine is covered in luxuriant foliage, chiefly moss and fern. There are hypotheses that the water comes from underground springs or an underground river that seeped through the crevices and created the water sprinkles.

Due to the uneven road and the 376 steps of exertion required to reach the top, exploring the higher areas of the falls is also a difficult task. Despite the long and strenuous hike, the breathtaking view from the top is well worth it. With the abundance of gorgeous landscapes in Asik-Asik Falls, phones will run out of storage from the sight of the cascades to the panoramic vistas at the summit.
