The Spanish big club Real Madrid paid slots for Belgian Eden Hazard back in 2019. However, the winger has far from lived up to his huge price tag and has been a big disappointment for Los Blancos.
This season, the 30-year-old Belgian, like last season, has been plagued by injuries, and therefore only made 14 appearances in the Spanish league. Now, however, rumors are circulating that Hazard wants to leave the club.
According to Spanish media El Chiringuito, the Belgian will leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after only two seasons and with three years left on his contract. Hazard is reportedly not happy at the club and wants to return to Chelsea, where he played the best football of his career. The Belgian was seen laughing with his former teammates after the club knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League.
According to SkySports, Real Madrid are ready to sell Hazard, to make room for the French super talent Kylian Mbappé, who has not yet extended his contract at PSG.
Hazard played for Chelsea from 2012 to 2019, where he managed to play 352 games and contributed with 110 goals and 92 assists. With Chelsea, the Belgian also won the English Championship twice as well as the Europa League once.
