I wish I could say I am surprised.
"I am here for the community" are words that are easily spoken, or written. There are only a few people who are actually able to exercise them. Most will just be too greedy to do it.
No one is asking the ones who want to leave to stay. They can go, we live in a free world. But do they really want to go? What if Steemit does just fine without them, what if the empty space they left is filled easy enough by other people, and no one really misses them?
Their actions speak for themselves, they can't let go.
It will be interesting to see what happens to Hive when the Hive community starts to vote for implementations, features, changes to the system, the people who initiated this fork project are not okay with, or might lose (some of their) power. Time will tell.
We will see which one (or both) will stand the test of time.
Cannot agree more about this.
