"Goodbye Winter"

We can turn our backs on Winter
For yet another year,
How welcome it will be, to go out
In shorts without fear.

Some, I hear, wish that things would at all times,
Be just like Spring.
This would deny the balance; to go without
Season’s swing.

So, accept that things are as they should be;
Live with élan.
Don’t spend your time stressfully remembering
Times foregone.
