요즘은 보기드문 공중전화기, 대단지 아파트나 도심 도로에서 드물게 볼수 있지만 사용하는 사람은 본적이 없다.
KT에서는 적자지만 어쩔수 없이 운용 비용을 들여 계속 유지하고 있다고 한다.
예전엔 줄서서 사용하고 했던 공중전화기, 앞사람이 오랫동안 사용하면 '용건만 간단히' 하라고 티격태격하는 일이 비일비재 했던 시절이 있었는데...
이젠 이런 모습은 찾아 볼수도 없을 뿐만아니라 공중전화기를 사용하는 사람은 더욱 찾아 볼수 없다.
추억의 공중전화기, 그 모습을 그대로 간직한 빨간 전화기 부스가 그냥 예쁘다.

가끔 길 다니다 보면 공중전화기 보고 저건 누가 쓸까 했더니.. 적자라도 억지로 끌고 가는 거 같기는 했어요. 솔직히 요즘엔 장식용... 이라는 느낌이 들어요.
