Bakkt's study conducted in June and July found that 38% of concert workers are open to receiving payments in crypto, and the number jumps to nearly 50% for those willing to receive part of their concert payment in cryptocurrencies.
Bakkt Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BKKT), a leading digital asset platform that offers a range of cryptocurrency services, including buying and selling Bitcoin and Ethereum, among others, has published the findings of a new study showing that nearly half of the people working in the gig economy agree to a portion of their salaries being paid in cryptocurrencies.
The U.S.-based company announced this on Friday, with the findings as part of a study dubbed the "Gig Workers & Crypto Study." This study occurred at a time when cryptocurrency volatility was at its peak between mid-June and early July.
Crypto Appeal Grows Among Concert Workers
In their assessment, and from the responses received regarding cryptocurrency payments in the concert industry, 38% of respondents said they would accept all of their payments in cryptocurrencies.
