A judge has overturned a law that required masks for youngsters aged 2 to 4 in New York.
The "toddler mask requirement" was determined to be "random, capricious, and absurd" by Judge Ralph Porzio.
Vaccination is not possible for youngsters under the age of five, according to health experts.
The regulation has been criticized by parents, teachers, and physicians.
"I will love to just send my kid to daycare without a mask," said New York State Wellness Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan, "but as a scientist, a doctor, and an epidemiologist, I would like to keep him safe."
Mayor Eric Adams has stated that the restriction will be lifted on April 4th.
