While driving back from Lynx Creek this afternoon I noticed that we had picked up an extra passenger along the way - looks to be an Orange Sulfur (Colias eurytheme)
There seemed to be quite a few of them active recently. Perhaps the rains have produced a healthy population this year and the adults are now looking for mates. This one somehow ended up on my leg while I was driving and didn't seem in a hurry to leave.
He didn't fly off when I got out of my car so I think that it might have been injured a bit earlier so I found him a safe spot on one of my rosemary plants to rest and perhaps recuperate.
