Alright, I know spiders are arachnids and not insects but since there isn't a "Fascinating Spiders" community we'll go with this one
I came across this nice jumping spider perched among a flowering patch of native Sunflower obviously on the hunt for a meal.
I haven't been able to ID this one yet but Jumping spiders are dimorphic between the semester so it could have been a female but in any case these spiders are fascinating arachnids and amazing hunters like tigers of the insect world.
