Welcome to Anfield where mere people are forged into gods of footballing arena.

Liverpool entertained Sheffield United in this matchup which is the last game of matchday 21 which is Liverpool's first match of the year 2020.

The match got underway with quick energy by Liverpool which handed them an early goal, courtesy of Mo. Sallah.

More pressure by the home team forced the visitors Sheffield United to seat deep in order to keep Liverpool away from causing more harm than good.

Saido Mane was up and running in this game, making some dangerous runs through the leftwing with support from Firmino who played behind Mo. Sallah.

The first half was all Liverpool but Sheffield showed some promises by not seating all through the first half of the game. Some runs by the visitors and some glimpse of what they can do if given the chance.

End of the first half with Liverpool dominating the matchup.

The second began with Sheffield United trying to get back into the game but Liverpool nevertheless came with another approach to get more.

It was initially a balanced game a few minutes into the second half but Liverpool soon got their mojo back. More threats beckon as Liverpool started showing the visitors the door out of Anfield with disappointment.

Strings of passes soon got Sheffield United's defence open as M. Salah was able to squeeze a sleek pass to Saido Mane who didn't hesitate to bury the ball in Sheffield United's net and 2 nil it became for Liverpool.

The scoreline was maintained until the final whistle and Liverpool still remain unbeaten and maintain a convincing lead in the EPL log.
