Is this the start of one of the greatest comebacks in sports history? Mathematically the Renegades could squeak a place in the top 5 but they would need to win all their games from here on out and hope that other results went their way. Still, at the very least they have finally shaken that monkey of their back by beating the Thunder in a rain-affected match.
As far as the Heat are concerned they ended a good run of form in the middle part of the competition by being hammered by the Adelaide Strikers just days after they had inflicted a similarly one-sided victory on the same opposition. That all or nothing approach to the game seems to have been a feature of the Brisbane Heat's season so it's difficult to predict which team will turn up to play in this match.
The Gabba has seen most sides struggle to get a good first innings score with suggestions that the pitch is a bit sluggish to start with before speeding up later in the game. Thundery showers are always a risk in Queensland and I'd say this game has a 50/50 chance of an interruption.
