Found this same post on Scorum few minutes ago, it's really a great research, I'm not a fan of drinking at all but I'm quite not sure about this, if truly they actually do get drunk, does it affect or it doesn't affect their performances and career?

I'm sure it did affect their careers. You'll notice that with most of these guys we are talking about people whose careers were 30-50 years ago. These days you wouldn't get away with that kind of behaviour because sportsmen and women are required to maintain much higher levels of fitness in the modern era.
