Kandy Esala Perahera Festival is the largest Buddhist festival in the island of Sri Lanka. This festival is normally organized in July / August months of each year. It's a large festival with dancers , decorated elephants , singers , fire breathers and various other performing artists. This festival is organized to honor the Sacred Tooth Relic of load Buddha.
