Today is a historical day for Sri Lanka. The people of sri lanka was able to made the president resign through a peaceful protest which was conducted more than 3 months continuously.

Gotabaya Rajapaksha was an ex-military officer in Sri Lankan army and did a great service ending the civil war in 2009 as the secretary of defence. Persoanlly I like this character as I saw many positive reasons in him. But there were some promises he made for the people of Sri Lanka. He never worked on the "pasku attack" incident as he promised. No justice was there for those 300 innocent people killed by terrorists. He never took action again his friendly parties for corruption. Sri Lanka was a country with a very healthy economy, but politicians simply robbed the country. Today people won the revolution and Gota is no more. Let's hope for the best...
