League of Legends has attracted attention for a number of reasons, one of which is the appearance of its characters known as champions. That's why Riot Games and Tencent decided to adjust them a bit in Wild Rift, their mobile version, in order to make them less sexualized.

As noted PixelButts, a user who has access to Wild Rift and assiduous of datamining, in the versions for iOS and Android MOBA visual art changed a little. This is to implement changes that make them look less sexualized.

Most of the changes are very evident. For example, Miss Fortune's art was modified so that it no longer shows her abdomen. Her hair tone was also changed, as well as the color of her suit. A similar modification can be seen in Janna and Ahri.

It is worth mentioning that there are also some changes that are not so evident, as well as others that have little to do with the sexualization of the characters. On the one hand, we have Jinx, whose neckline was covered with a bandage. There is also the example of Zed, whose design was modified to present additional decorations on the head.

Censorship or design update?

As you can imagine, many users have complained about the changes. In fact, there are those who are accusing to Riot Games of censoring their character designs. That said, there are those who simply must be considered a design update. A normal thing for a game that has been around for 10 years and has grown in that time.

This has generated an interesting debate on the Internet, with users pointing out that it is okay and normal for Riot Games to make these changes to their art; after all, the look of the champions has evolved. On the other hand, there are players who accuse Riot Games of changing the game simply to please Tencent and the public in China.

"This is why it is dangerous that Tencent and other Chinese companies are controlling Western companies. They are going to force them to censor and remove content that China doesn't like," said one Twitter user.
