miHoyo the publisher and developer behind the open-world RPG Genshin Impact released a new trailer during Playstation’s State of Play, announcing that Genshin Impact would be coming to Playstation 4 this fall. Previously the developer had announced Genshin Impact would be arriving on PC, iOS and Android before October, and looks like PS4 will also be releasing during the same time.
During the broadcast, a new trailer was released featuring a number of characters for Genshin Impact, a couple of the major cities in Teyvat and a quick look at some of the unique elemental powers and combat styles.
miHoyo also released some info about two of the towns shown in the trailer:
The first of these cities is Mondstadt, an idyllic “City of Freedom” where the dancing winds are serenaded by the songs of bards. Located on the northeast side of the continent, Mondstadt is where new players will encounter a host of new characters with formidable powers that will be key companions to the Traveler as they set off on their journey across Teyvat.
Next is Liyue Harbor — the greatest trading port in all of Teyvat. This city blends elements of ancient eastern culture and stunning natural scenery, weaving them together into a breathtakingly beautiful and truly magical landscape. The port is chock-full of characters with diverse backgrounds and many stories to tell, who will lead players down new paths during their adventure.
Genshin Impact is an online Action-RPG which takes players to world full of magic and cute characters. We checked out the gameplay during two of the closed betas during this year, and offers a flexible combat system, allowing you swap characters on the fly. It’s a single player game but also others online co-op so you can team up with friends for world events and dungeons. Genshin Impact will be coming to Playstation 4 this fall, along with PC, Android and iOS this year. Nintendo Switch is also releasing at some point.
