LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is one of the most anticipated Star Wars games for a while, and today the LEGO Group summarized what we know so far about the game and its tie-ins….

What’s Been Revealed About the Game So Far?

June 2019 – E3 Announcement Trailer and Press Release (no game footage).
December 2019 – Sizzles Trailer showing the new game engine.
May 2020 – Key Art reveal and StarWars.com Interview with Jonathan Smith (TT Games) and Craig Derek (Lucasfilm Games).
June 2020 – Pre-order the limited edition Steel Book at BestBuy.com.
June 2020 – Summer LEGO Star Wars products revealed and StarWars.com explains set links to the game.
What is LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga?

An upcoming LEGO Star Wars videogame from TT Games and WB Interactive Entertainment.
Lets players play through all 9 movies of The Skywalker Saga for the first time ever in a videogame.
Brings LEGO’s 2020 Star Wars sets to life, and features hundreds of playable characters and ships.
Allows fans to start at any point in the timeline — a first for the franchise.
Gives players freedom to explore the LEGO Star Wars Galaxy.
All-new and built from the ground up, not a “remaster” of older content.
Packed with distinctive LEGO Star Wars humor, the game will be a landmark in the 15-year tradition of TT’s popular & family-friendly LEGO Star Wars videogames.

When? Where?

The game will launch on the Xbox One family of devices, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Information on launch date and whether/when the game will appear on streaming services and “Next Generation” games consoles will be announced soon.
LEGO Star Wars Set Tie-Ins

LEGO have been working closely with TT Games/WBIE behind the scenes throughout development of the game to ensure the game offers the most authentic LEGO Star Wars experience possible, and one that ties in closely with LEGO sets, brand, and franchise.
The game features faithful recreations of all the latest vehicles and characters from LEGO Star Wars 2020 sets, including the upcoming Summer wave – you can “Play them in the game” and see them come to life, including: –
501st Legion Clone Troopers (75280)
Anakin’s Jedi Interceptor (75281)
Armored Assault Tank (AAT) (75283)
Knights of Ren transport Ship (75284)
General Grievous Starfighter (75286)
AT-AT (75288)

There are also a huge number of official classic LEGO Star Wars ships and characters from across the 20+ year history of LEGO Star Wars that will be playable in the game.
Four of the Summer LEGO Star Wars sets will include unlock codes in the box which players can enter to get special characters and ships from the sets to play with in the game, they are: –
2020 Advent Calendar (75279) – contains a code to unlock a special character from the Calendar in the game.
Death Star Final Duel (75291) – contains a code to unlock a special character from the set in the game.
Resistance I-TS Transport (75293) from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – contains a code to unlock this non-Skywalker Saga ship to play with in the game.
The Razor Crest (75292) – contains a code to unlock this non-Skywalker Saga ship to play with in the game.
Whilst the game’s release date has not been officially confirmed, in a May 4th video StarWars.com let slip that it would be coming on October 20th, and we can expect to get confirmation of the release date very soon — stay tuned for more information on the game!
