Acting Regent of Bireuen Hands Over Three Habitable Assistance Houses.
The Acting Regent of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, handed over three units of habitable assistance houses for underprivileged residents and victims of natural disasters, Tuesday, 7/1/2025, in Kreung Juli Barat Village, Kuala Bireuen District.
Three units of habitable assistance houses for underprivileged residents and victims of natural disasters were symbolically handed over by the Acting Regent of Bireuen Regency Jalaluddin, S.H., M.M marked by the signing of the inscriptions for the three houses.
The house at the handover location belongs to Hendon Ahmad, 82, a disabled resident, the other two belong to Samsul Taeb in Abeuk Usong Village, Jeumpa District, both of whom previously lived in uninhabitable houses. Meanwhile, Mawardi Husen, in Buket Sudan Village, Peusangan Siblah Krueng District, is a victim of a tornado.
Head of the Bireuen Public Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (Perkim), Ir Fadli, S.T., M.S.M at the location explained that this decent housing assistance is a slum housing and settlement program, funded by the Bireuen Regency Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBK) (Otsus) for the 2024 fiscal year.
The program for building decent housing from a total of 33 units, the remaining three units budgeted in the 2024 Revised APBK have been completed and handed over today. While the other 30 units have been realized when the Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, he explained.
Regarding the budget for building this house, per unit is IDR 98 million. "It is hoped that with this decent housing assistance, it can improve the standard of living of recipient residents, and they can also live in a decent house," he said.
The Head of Perkim also said that for 2025, 52 housing units will be built using special autonomy funds, the budget for one house is also the same, which is IDR 98 million/unit, explained Ir Fadli, S.T., M.S.M.
Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, S.H., M.M after the handover of the house said that the Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) has realized and handed over habitable housing assistance to three residents, one of the recipients of the housing assistance in Krueng Juli Barat Village (Gampong) is disabled, he said.
For 2025, the Bireuen Regency Government will also build 100 housing units from the Bireuen Regency Baitul Mal (BMK) funds, and the Perkim Service will also build 52 housing units from special autonomy funds which will be given to the community entitled to receive it.
It was also conveyed that the Bireuen Regency Government continues to continuously build habitable housing for the community while supporting the provincial and central government programs.
"With this housing assistance, we hope that the community can feel a habitable house and gradually there will be no more poor people living in rickety shacks, also our efforts to reduce extreme poverty rates, especially through housing facilities," said the Acting Regent.
