Regional Secretary of Bireuen Regency, Dr. Ir. Ibrahim Ahmad, M.Si Attended the Assessment Event of the 2024 Bireuen Regency Innovation Competition, organized by the Bireuen Regency BAPPEDA, Held at the Bappeda Hall, Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Today's event is the final stage of the regional innovation competition that has been participated in by all SKPKs from June to the end of August 2024, through the Innovative Government Award (IGA) application of the Ministry of Home Affairs' Domestic Policy Strategy Agency. In the first stage of selection, the Bireuen Regency Government proposed 49 innovations from 60 SKPKs.
In the application selection stage, 12 innovations were selected with a maturity value of 86 and above based on the completeness of supporting data. Furthermore, the Bireuen Regency Government selects the competition criteria with supporting data evidence through field validation to be able to determine 3 (three) innovation nominees that have been implemented in the region per form of innovation.
Today, 4 nominees will be determined and all nominees will be retested in the final assessment today. The systematic assessment of the Bireuen Regency regional innovation competition is, Presentation of the Head of SKPK/Innovation Actors, Screening of Innovation Videos and Interviews by Resource Persons for Regency Innovation Assessors.

- Public Service Innovation Category:
- Peusangan Selatan Health Center with the GAZIBU SENI Dengan GIAT innovation (Prevent Malnutrition Early on with Healthy Nutrition)
- Public Works and Spatial Planning Office with the SATU BISA innovation (Stunting Decreases Healthy Bireuen)
- Disdukcapil with the JAKI PAKOM innovation (Shopping Shows KIA Gets Discounts)
- Disperindagkop and UKM with the LANTERA PAPA innovation (Market to Market Calibration/Recalibration Services)
- Regional Government Governance Innovation Category:
- Kota Juang District with the BIOPAS innovation (Bio Waste Aeka Prolysis)
- The Environment and Forestry Service with the BASKOTA innovation (Waste Bank and Adiwiyata Compost Section)
- Inspectorate with the INONAAGAM innovation (Gampong Development Inspectorate)
In his remarks, the Bireuen Regional Secretary appreciated and thanked all parties who had participated in the Regional Innovation Competition, so that Bireuen Regency currently temporarily has an innovation index of 56.58 (innovative) using the IGA application. And hopes that in the final assessment it can continue to increase by disciplining itself to follow all the criteria that have been set so that it gets appreciation from the Central Government.
