Bireuen Regional Secretary Opens Poverty Reduction Coordination Meeting.

The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, Ph.D, represented by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi, opened the poverty alleviation team coordination meeting, Tuesday, 12/09/2023.

This activity was carried out by the Bireuen Regency Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Bapedda Hall.

Head of the Bireuen Regency Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Bob Miswar, S.STP MSi, among other things, said, as we know since the issuance of Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 4 of 2022, regarding accelerating the elimination of extreme poverty.

"There needs to be collaboration, synergy and also various efforts so that we can immediately take concrete actions, in order to accelerate the reduction of extreme poverty in Bireuen Regency," he said.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bireuen Regency, Ir Ibrahim Ahmad, MSi, in his direction said, among other things. Coordination meetings like this are very important to hold so that we can jointly discuss the implementation of various development programs, specifically the issue of poverty alleviation in Bireuen Regency.

As we know, poverty alleviation is a priority in Bireuen Regency's development plan for 2023 - 2026. "For this reason, I ask for the support of all parties to be able to work together and work hand in hand so that the target of reducing poverty rates can be achieved," he hoped.

The Bireuen Regency Government has and is implementing several programs as mandated by Presidential Decree Number 96 of 2015 concerning 3 amendments to Presidential Decree Number 15 of 2010 concerning the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction.

In this case, it has been thoroughly programmed by each SKPD within the Bireuen Regency Government, broadly speaking it is covered in four
priority areas, viz. The fields of education, health, infrastructure, community economic development, which are divided into 3
group viz.

Cluster I is a poverty reduction program based on social assistance and protection. Cluster II poverty reduction program based on community empowerment. Cluster III poverty reduction program
based on micro business empowerment, explained the Regional Secretary.
