This rally also included the presentation of awards to members of the police and the community, as well as simulations of handling fires and Dalmas troops handling riots.
"We are carrying out a disaster preparedness call with the TNI-Polri together with other stakeholders, so that if a disaster occurs we are ready to provide security," said Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Jatmiko.
Jatmiko appealed to the public, especially during the rainy season, to maintain cleanliness, to be careful when driving when passing through landslide-prone, flood-prone areas and flooded roads resulting in aqua planning to avoid traffic accidents.
The Bireuen Police Chief, among other things, invites all non-governmental organizations and all parties related to preparedness, to work together to make maximum efforts to increase the participation and active role of communities and society in disaster management efforts and most importantly, invite all elements of society to care about the environment. and disaster management efforts so that people living in Bireuen understand the signs of a disaster, deal with it and survive the disaster.
“We know that natural disasters are something that is difficult to predict. "However, we can anticipate to minimize the impacts that will arise from disasters," he said.
The rally ended with a demonstration of how to put out a fire with an APAR by the Bireuen Fire Brigade and also the readiness of the Bireuen Police Department Dalmas troops to deal with riots.
