Acting (Pj) Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin SH MM represented by Assistant II of the Regional Secretary of Bireuen Regency (Setdakab) and the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bireuen Regency, Thursday (19/12/2024) inaugurated 401 Firefighter Volunteers (Redkar) from various villages and socialized the prevention of Forest and Land Fires (Karhutla) in the Wisma Bireuen Jaya hall.
The inauguration was combined with the handover of identification cards (ID Cards) for a number of representatives. Head of BPBD Bireuen Afwadi BA said that the purpose and objective of this activity was to inaugurate and provide guidance for firefighter volunteers.
Furthermore, facilitating access to handling fires through fast, accurate and integrated information. Helping to speed up handling in the event of a fire so that it can minimize casualties, both property and life.
After the inauguration, the training was continued by a panel by two speakers, namely from the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA) Ir Subhan as the head of the BPBA steering committee and from the Bireuen Regency BPBD delivered by the Head of BPBD Afwadi.
The materials presented by the speakers included, among others, the policy of a container for the Fire Volunteer Unit (Redkar) in the district/city which will be delivered by BPBA, optimization of firefighting services.
The expected results of this activity are to facilitate access to handling fires through fast, accurate, integrated information.
It is also expected to help speed up handling if a fire occurs so that it can minimize victims, both property and life, explained the Head of the Bireuen Regency BPBD, Afwadi.
Acting Regent of Bireuen Jalaluddin SH MM in his speech delivered by Assistant II of the Bireuen Regency Secretariat, Dailami SHut, among others, advised all sub-district heads to immediately coordinate and communicate with the keuchik, especially since there are no Redkar members yet, immediately notify the community who want to join as firefighter volunteers.
We hope that the volunteers will be able to provide the best performance in carrying out their assigned tasks. "Make the community proud with your presence as Redkar, of course it is the highest achievement, if our presence can benefit other people," concluded Assistant II Dailami.
