Hundreds of Rohingya Ethnic Refugees Again Arrive in Pidie Regency, Aceh.
Hundreds of Rohingya ethnic refugees from Myanmar have again set foot in Aceh, this time around 241 people landed in the coastal area of Kulee Village, Batee District, Pidie Regency, Aceh, Sunday, 11/19/2023.
According to information, 241 Rohingya ethnic immigrants were again stranded, consisting of adult men and women as well as children, including babies. This time they went straight into the village and stopped at the Gampong (Village) prayer room.
Residents discovered the whereabouts of the Rohingya immigrants at around 03.00. WIB, they were at the local Meunasah. The distance between the Kulee meunasah and the shoreline where the Rohingya were stranded is around 1 kilometer. Rohingya are dominated by children and women walking to the Gampong Kulee meunasah.
Hundreds of Rohingya refugees are currently still in Meunasah, and data collection is being carried out by security forces as well as IOM and UNHCR. They also receive assistance with food, drinks and health checks.
Previously, 147 Rohingya immigrants were stranded in Kuala Gampong Pasi Beurandeh, Batee District, Wednesday, 11/15/2023. 147 Rohingya immigrants have been accommodated in the Mina Raya Padang Tiji Camp.
The day before, Tuesday, 11/14/2023, a group of 196 Rohingya immigrants landed on the Gampong Blang Raya Coast, Muara Tiga District, Pidie, using a fishing boat.
