Rencong

Each region of course has its own uniqueness both in terms of clothing, food, culture and sharp weapons. Likewise with the regions that are in the country of Indonesia.

One of the traditional weapons in Aceh is rencong. rencong has a distinctive and unique shape which is of course different from other types of sharp weapons in other areas.

The following are several types of sharp weapons including rencong found in the Aceh area. Rencong is usually made by experienced rencong craftsmen. in ancient times during the kingdom in Aceh specifically for the rencong of kings or nobles and even the heads of the rencong were made covered with gold.

Rencong is used as a tool to defend yourself or attack enemies. rencong is usually tucked into the waist of men as a weapon to be themselves.
