Total lockdown and no tourism allowed = great time to open a new business

I don't understand the mentality of a bunch of people out there. The way that this part of town that I live in here in Vietnam is that this "island" of sorts which isn't really an island but is used almost exclusively for tourism is that if there are no tourists or expat population, your business is definitely going to fail. At the moment very few businesses have been allowed to be open at all and recently restaurants were closed for takeaway and delivery.

This has been going on for quite some time and it doesn't look like it is going to get better any time soon.

So does it make sense to you to build a business that even once it is finished, no one is going to be allowed to operate out of and even if they were, there is no one to actually sell your products to? Well to this idiot it does.

The idea behind food courts was a great idea in the past for Vietnam and presumably other places and the small area that I live in had 2 of them at one point. Now we have none.

What on earth inspired whoever built this thing to do so just defies all logic.

Here is the kicker as well, he didn't start building it before Covid was a problem. No, they started building it after the lockdown of the country was complete AND tourism was banned, AND a movement to get all foreigners out of the country had already commenced.

Best of luck to you pal, but seeing as how the 2 businesses that are essentially exactly the same thing as this are already closed, I just fail to understand what on earth compelled you to build something like this now.

I would imagine that "for rent" sign stays up there until the sun and rain fades it until it is no longer readable.
