Every corner of the world there are certain people who will find ways to help people helping other people. And that is one of the major advantage we got being in this platform, steemit where everyone wants to help individuals in need and get better even in a little help we give. It's not always the amount that counts but how we make the people we help feel loved and appreciated.

For this week's feeding activity, me, my husband @steemitcebu @sweetspicy and all family members who are steemians were very happy to received support from our brother in Indonesia. He is @herimukti who donated 💯 percent of his upvotes to my husband's account, plus he sent 4 sbd to help further.

My husband forgot to write in his post the amount spent and the conversion of sbd to Philippine peso, I will discuss it here since I hold the budget. 1 USD is 50.10 Php

In total, we had 17 sbd from @herimukti and the exchange rate that time was very low. It was only 273 PHP per sbd.

273 Php x 17 sbd = 4,641 Php or roughly 97 USD. We pay for the following:

  • 100 pieces deep fried chicken (20 Php each)
  • 6 kilos of rice(50 Php/kilo)
  • 4 kilos Noodles/pancit (48 Php/kilo)
  • 2 whole chicken for pancit mix (190 Php each)
  • Vegetables for the pancit and other seasoning
  • 100 pieces packed juice
  • Food container and disposable untensils
  • 20 packs fudgee bar (cake) for kids below 5 years old

I threw some receipts away (not me thinking I would use it), and in the wet market mostly they don't give receipt.

The Preparation, Packing, and Distribution

The same day in the morning, I accompanied my husband to the hospital fir series of test for his heart and cholesterol problem that also includes hyperacidity. We left the house around 5:15 in the morning and went back home about noon time. Good thing is that, Mama and uncle started to cook the rice and pancit for the feeding. That way it makes our work lighter.

Afternoon, we picked up the fried chicken we ordered from the same place we had last time. It was all ready and packed. The lady owner asked to have photos with us, because her husband asked her fir a photo. And we got ours as well from my phone.

Packing was easier when there are people doing every process. One person puts rice, other person for the pancit, and other person for fried chicken, gravy and closed the lunch box. It took us around 30-40 minutes only.

For the distribution, people were advised to follow social distancing and wearing face mask but some kids are just kids and they can't follow to have distance with fellow kids. But still okay, they follow in wearing facemask.

There were 7 pack foods left and we chose to send it to those who were not around especially those with lots of kids. After distribution, we cleaned the area and had our snacks from the extra pancit. Thanks to our family who helped us with all the work and also brother from Indonesia @herimukti for the funds.

All is well! God loves us.
