Amphibians are believed to have evolved from an ancient group of lobe finned fisher. They were the first vertebrates to ven ture out of the water and live on land present day amphibians include the frogs,toads newrs and salamanders. Most of them live in moist environment and return to water to breed . an amphibian has these features .it is coid blooded.it has paired fore hindlimbs in the aduit stage.it has a naked moist skin . it has a sticky tongue which can be pro truded and retracted quickly.it has inner and middle ears. It carries out gaseous exchange by gills,lungs,skin or mouth lining , separately or in combination . gill are present at some stage in its life cycle.it has a three chambered heart . fertilisation is exernal.the egg are small. An aquatic larval stage is usually present
