In November last year, I found an advertisement online for a resort in Panglao which was giving their overnight stay at a huge discount price. I checked the photos online of the said resort and immediately, booked a one-night stay.
From Cebu, as I had blogged, we traveled from the city to Argao, took a barge towards Loon, Bohol and it was raining when we arrived. We ate lunch at this food park called The Front and then headed to Panglao.
The afternoon was dark even if it was still an early afternoon. The road going to the resort is narrow and we were kind of hesitant to get in because other cars might be on our way too but thankfully, we got there without a problem.
The resort's name is Bird of Paradise. We confirmed our booking and was shown to our room. I was really amazed at how our room looked because it was great and I can say it is worth every penny we paid it for!
Let me show you the room:
The bedframe was kind of unique, it was concrete. Although it was nice, it was not child proof so we were always looking out for Matti not to hit the edges.
But we surely love everything in the room from the wide glass walls, to the lighting, to the lounge and to the table. Also the wooden fan and the wooden accent stood out!
Of course the comfort room was also pleasant! I love the way it was designed with the shower area having an opening at that top making the bamboo plants at the back visible and the sounds of the birds can be heard from the inside too.
My husband and I agreed that this was indeed a good deal that we had availed. We were glad that we took the chance of booking the room! My husband works on his laptop while Matti was watching the flat screen too!
It was still raining so we took that time to rest. Matti and his father was just having a good time in the bed! I really like these kinds of bed because it's so comfortable and I was able to sleep well. We woke up around four in the afternoon and went out to check the place as the rain stopped.
The sun was already shining so we headed out and flew the drone. We love that the resort is filled with plants and trees! Our room was also located at the garden front so we got an empty lawn!
The husband flew the drone to get some bird's eyeview shots of the resort. Matti was watching his father as hubby was controlling the drone. I was also taking photos of the surrounding!
That night, we decided to dine at the Mist. This restaurant has a great interior design and it also offers good food! However, when we arrived, the place was packed and there was a long queue. We decided to eat at Jollibee instead because I was already hungry and Matti too. We decided to come back later and sure enough, we got a seat!
We ordered desserts instead and some burgers to go. I am always in love with this restaurant. It has three floors with a sunset viewing deck too on top of that and they have great design with the use of native materials like bamboo, nipa, and more! They have different seating options too!
Anyway, we went back to the resort after having our dessert and then by the morning, we woke up a bit late! We were quite tired and so upon waking up, we headed directly to the resort's restaurant as there's a complimentary breakfast included in the booking for two!
We pass by the pool area and this lounge beside the pool which was designed well. We headed to the restaurant and asked the staff about the free breakfast, they gave us the options on what they offer and waited for the food to be served.
It didn't take long before the food was served. I got the Filipino breakfast Cornsilog while hubby asked for oats and nuts. Each plate has fruits and a free black coffee and juice too! I surely appreciate how nice the staffs were with their customers.
We enjoyed the pool that morning since there were still no other customers around. We took advantage of the peace and the beauty of this place. Our checkout time was around 11 in the morning. We bid goodbye with such grateful hearts for the warm welcome of the staff, the good room, and amenities plus of course the free breakfast!
