Let me start by commending you for the effort put into this practical work, no doubt, your steps are detailed enough, however I've got few observations.
Your result looks cool. Your colour are complementary. It would have been awesome if you played around your text, the "write" and "blog" seem not to be very different in size. The principle of Hierarchy should have played out here as well, just as it was done for you in the lesson. I believe a bolder typeface will also help do the job better
Finally, you would have earned yourself more points if you had talked about the graphic principles you engaged in making these designs as it would have further proven that you understand how these things work.
In all, you did beautifully well and I must commend your effort. I hope you love the result you're getting already... keep up with the energy level dear friend.
