Filipinos have a famous breakfast combo meals called silogs. It's a breakfast meal but Filipinos can actually have it all through out the day. Si-log is short for sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (egg), the two staple food items in the combo. Other than the two, there is one item that varies per combo, the viand. We have a number of silog meals. We have Hamsilog or ham-sinangag-itlog (ham, friend rice and egg), Tapsilog or Tapa-sinangag-itlog (beef jerky, fried rice and egg), and many other variants.
Today, I want to feature Chosilog or chorizo-sinangag-itlog (sausage, fried rice and egg). I found a new milktea place that just opened this December 19, 2020. I got curious what they serve other than milktea. Alas, they serve silogs, whole day long! I picked Chosilog because it's one of my favorite silog combos. I love the sweet and garlicky Filipino sausage that we call chorizo. Their chorizo was aromatic and I love it. I enjoyed this meal in this new place. I might come back and try the other silogs.
