Sun Pavillion

The Sun Pavilion in the Gardens by the Bay showcases cacti and succulents, from the deserts and dry shrub-lands. It has a glass roof – not to keep the plants out of the sun, but to keep the plants out of the rain so that they are not exposed to excess water.

Cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti! All cacti are are flowering plants! But not all succulents are flowering plants. Some flower freely at a young age whilst others take years to bloom for the first time.
