Christmas Puto
Hiya Everyone! Tori here! The christmas celebration continues as I showcase this lovely set of cheese puto. Puto is a Filipino steamed rice cake made from fermented rice dough. Puto is such a versatile treat since it can be paired with savoury dishes like pork asado or dinuguan or sweet pairings like yema, chocolate, and ube or it can be eaten by itself. You can also decorate it with food colorings like the photo above wherein it is being decorated with christmas-themed images. Puto is usually eaten after you have attended the Misa de Gallo or Early Morning Mass or even after Simbang Gabi as a night snack.
