Jami' Jabal A'la Mosque, Blang Karieng village, Nisam sub-district

𝔍𝔞𝔪𝔦' 𝔍𝔞𝔟𝔞𝔩 𝔄'𝔩𝔞 𝔅𝔩𝔞𝔫𝔤 𝔎𝔞𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔫𝔤 𝔐𝔬𝔰𝔮𝔲𝔢

Dear friends, starting the day by saying Alhamdulillah as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT. What are you doing?, hopefully in good condition.

On this occasion, I will show you one of the mosques in Blang Karieng village, Nisam sub-district, North Aceh district, Aceh province. This mosque is called Jami' Jabal A'la. One of the first mosques that we find when entering Nisam district. The name of the mosque is lifted from the name of one of the hills close to the mosque with its name Bukit Tinggi (high hill) which in Arabic is Jabal 'Ala.

Let's look at the current condition of the Blang Karieng mosque where the mosque is under construction, even the mosque is currently not all plastered, let alone painted.

From the front, the mosque looks magnificent with its unique dome, which is black with white stripes. At the top is a moon star painted in gold.

Although it has not been painted, the room of this mosque looks very attractive with the size of the wall with the Aceh door motif. Some of the pillars that support the ceiling of the mosque also stand firmly. Each pole has a beautiful patterned carving, and will look even more beautiful after being painted.

In the center of the room, there is a simple but meaningful pulpit, as it was donated by people from Blang Karieng village. The pulpit is made of sturdy wood and colored with wood paint.

From the back of the mosque, it is clear that the mosque is still under construction as there are still bricks that have not been plastered. Finishing this mosque is the main task of the Blang Karieng community, who know that the mosque is a place of worship for Muslims. Moreover, the mosque is the first gate mosque in Nisam sub-district. When outsiders entered the district, this mosque was one of the first to be discovered.

On the right side of the mosque is a building where there are ablutions and toilets. Most of the ablutions have been completed and just need to be painted.

But at the moment, the ablution place is still limited to a pool, without any taps. Perhaps taps will be added in the future.

While the columned toilets are still under construction, they are 80% complete. However, there are some parts of the toilet that have not been completely installed.

but for the time being all the buildings can be utilized, even though they are not fully completed. Perhaps to complete a mosque is not an easy thing, because it requires large funds and also a long time. The people of Blang Karieng continue to raise funds so that the mosque can be completed as soon as possible.
