Tin Island is located 30 kilometers southeast of Negros. The island has narrow floodplains and deltas. It is the third smallest island province in the Philippines and lies to the south of Cebu City and Bohol Island. Siquijor is famous for its witchcraft and mysterious and primitive witchcraft rituals. There are white-sand beaches, waterfalls, caves, and butterfly nurseries on the island. It is also a mecca for snorkeling and diving. During the colonial period, the Spanish called it the "Island of Fire" because a large group of fireflies stayed on this island, and it looked like the island glowed strangely from a distance.
The best resort in Tin Island-Coco Grove
And Coco Grove is the best resort in Tin Island, not one of them! With a private beach, you can play for a whole day without leaving the resort. It’s great, but we don’t have so much time, so we woke up to play in the water early the next morning and wandered in the resort by the way~
The private beach is much more comfortable than the black beach of Daoin, but it's almost the same as Similan in Thailand. There is a blue jelly sea.
Rent a motorcycle
Because he didn’t bring his driver’s license, he only showed him the picture of the driver’s license in his mobile phone. After pressing the passport there, he reluctantly rented it to me. He filled out the rental form for me, renting a car with 350P + three bottles of oil 150P (in fact, he only added two bottles. I said there was one bottle left in the fuel tank), forget it, I’m so grateful that I can find a rental car.
If it is about 80KM+ around the island in a week, one-third of the oil is left after returning, and it is enough to circle the island after filling up. There are cheering people all the way around the island, don't worry about this.
Road map of Xidao roundabout~~
First stop: Century-old Balete
At the beginning, I almost got lost by riding, because the Internet on Tin Island was so bad and the navigation was not accurate. We were always afraid of missing the sights. In fact, we rode along a big road. The scenic spot of the banyan tree was on the side of the road. For fear of not being able to find it, there are several small vendors next to the scenic spot, selling all kinds of food, fruits, and small accessories.
Fish spa tickets are 10P/person, how long can you play at will~~
All kinds of laughter and screams came one after another around the pool, which was quite interesting.
There is a coconut seller by the pool, 30P, super cheap, after drinking the coconut milk, my brother will cut it open for you, and then make a small spoon to eat coconut meat, which is amazing. Today I rely on coconuts to quench my thirst.
Second stop: LAZI church
After a short stop, we will drive to the second stop: LAZI Church, the largest convent in the Philippines and one of the oldest convents. It was built by the Spanish from 1887 to 1894 and has now become a key protection in the Philippines. We visited the cultural relics for a while and then continued on our way.
Third stop: Cambugahay Falls
There are various Falls along this road. I don’t know if it’s because the islanders find it profitable that several waterfalls have been newly developed. I guess they should be the same, but the most famous one is the Chop Bugahai Falls, 50P/person, with a small black gang. Stretch the child, just play! !
As soon as we arrived at the scenic spot, locals came to guide us along the way. At first we were repelled and told him that he didn’t need it. Later, he said that he could take pictures for us and give us tips, so we acquiesced. In fact, he shot quite well, from all angles, and finally gave 50P, with a few lost, and invited him to drink a bottle of drink~~
Going down the mountain all the way to the end is the Milky Way. When the mountain is shaded by green trees, it is not hot at all.
