Greetings dear friends from myside. Hope you are all enjoying week 4 of season 2 . Today I choose to write homework task for Urdu community which is about Seasons and weather. Let's go:

Weather and Season.

To begin this task, let me briefly differentiate between weather and season as these terms may seem alike. To understand the difference between weather and season we should be aware of the factors in the context with which we are going to discuss them. The geographical factors include Temperature Humidity, rain, snow, wind etc.

Weather represents the interplay of these factors within a short duration of time like hours or days. What sort of geographical factors will be present within a particular geographical area for hours or days will be termed as the weather of that particular location.For example, I live in Baramulla INDIA, and I made a google search for weather in Baramulla on 03 July and the following data was shown.

In the screenshot above, you can see that changes in some of the above-mentioned geographical factors can be seen hourly. To begin with, the weather will be cloudy followed by a shower then sunny towards the end I hope the definition of weather is clear.

Seasons represent changes in these geographical factors over a large period of time like months. We have four seasons in a year and they are spring, summer, autumn and winter.

• Spring = Mid-March – Mid-May.

• Sumer = Mid-May – Mid Sept.

• Autumn = Mid-Sept – Mid-Nov.

• Winter = Mid-Nov – Mid-March.

Favourite weather and Season

My favourite season is summer and my favourite weather is sunny weather with moderate temperature and minimal humidity. Now I'll be explaining the reason behind all the choices mentioned.

Summer in my valley is the most beautiful to explore nature. Families and educational institutions visit in huge numbers to the tourist destinations. Land all over is covered with a green carpet of grass and flowers are blossoming everywhere. Tourists from all over the world visit various tourist spots in our valley. Various crops are grown by farmers and Apple orchids further add to the magnonmimity of the heavenly environment that surrounds us. Markets are full of native fruits like peach, cherry, apricot, almond and various varieties of Apples etc. The temperature rises to about 35 degrees with mild rainfall in between.

Summer with friends

The weather mostly remains sunny through summer and people are busy doing their job. Business is running at its peak and so are skilled workers. People prepare for functions like marriages and religious rituals that are frequently hosted in autumn. I enjoy being at my job and visiting tourist places with my friends. Dormancy of winter and spring is shed by doing routine exercise and going to the gym. I can take care of my health by providing an adequate and suitable environment for my body.

We need not to put on too many clothes, unlike in winter. People put on a single layer of cloth to cover the body, unlike winter wear when We need to put on multiple layers of clothes to protect ourselves from extreme cold. Even rainfall during summer is not able to drop the temperature too much. People can freely move around even in rain. So people do not experience any sort of difficulty during summer.

Harsh weather and Season

Winter is the most hated season and snowfall during winter is the harsh weather that is disliked by all. Let me put forth some reasons for my choice below

Dull winter

Winter witness heavy snowfall and temperature goes down to minus 8 to 10 degrees.Roads are blocked due to heavy snow People are deprived of the basic necessitiesties of life like electricity and water. Overhead electricity poles and wires are broken due to heavy snow. Under and above ground water pipelines are frozen due to sub-zero temperature. People become dormant inside their homes and so are vulnerable to many diseases related to a sedentary lifestyle like obesity and hypertension. Being a doctor hospitals are full of patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart attacks and strokes. News about the death of patients due to poor trantransportation is common during winter. Life is dull and charmless.

To protect from severe cold, people are donned with multiple layers of clothes which include thermals, sweaters and jackets. The traditional dress of Kashmir that is put on during winters is known as Pheran. Pheran is like a gown made of thick cloth that is tailored and stitched in a way to accommodate the firepot inside. Life is dull as there are no rituals or festivals celebrated during winter.

Conclusion

Weather and season are geographical concepts that have been explained and exemplified as per the demand of the task. Every season and weather has its own charm that has been explained above. For every geographical location , all seasons and weather are necessary to sustain life . We may like or dislike particular weather or season according to ou convience but every season has something to offer . The seemingly dull winter for me nourishes soil with water and prepares it for beautiful spring . Same holds true for other seasons too.
