Thanks to this engagement contest, I never knew of Urdu community and have never heard of them in this platform.

But because of this steemit engagement contest, I have been opportuned to hear and even join in a contest in this commendable community. Great thanks to steemitblog for this wonderful initiative.

Which social media do you use the most. In what way is steemit social media is different and better than other social media. Considering your experience, compare steemit social media with other social media.

Social media can be explained to be a platform where people interact and discuss despite being at different locations all around the world online real-time. This came with the appearance of the internet on the world scene. Since then it has come to stay and never to be removed.

The social media I use most is the Telegram platform.
Telegram is one of the foremost social media platform I truly love.

I have been using it for so many years and have proven to be a dependable platform. It has made communication very easy among family members, friends, school mates and ex workmates.

It is user friendly. Even a great grand father in my village can make use of it.

Initially, I was using WhatsApp, but when you change mobile devices every information you have before will be lost. Telegram provided an answer early enough to woo customers over to their media platform.

So telegram users can retrieve old information even when we change devices, restoring all the previous chats you have made from the time you created an account with them.

Additionally, they were the first social media platform to start online calls which are encrypted, video calls and even video conferencing among a number of persons.

These features made it to stand out before
other media platforms started adding these innovation on their platforms.

Telegram platform is so robust and can have as many as 200,000 and more persons in a particular chat group and all the chats that took place in your absence is available for you to go through. This is simply impressive.

On cost aspect, it takes less data to make both video and audio call. It is really cost effective.

I love telegram media platform because it is easy to use, keeps me connected with family members and friends, helps me carry out my business activities effortlessly and efficiently.

Steemit is a social media blogging site that was introduced to me about a year ago. That was the first time I ever heard of steem and steemit.

What I learned about steemit made it unique and better than any other social media platform. It is a platform specifically designed to reward users who publish or create original content. Let me now give wonderful reasons as to how and why steemit is unique and different from other social media platforms.

° Steemit platform is the only social media platform that its users earns or are rewarded while using it. Initially, I did not believe that was possible due to several scam projects like that. But when I withdrew my first earning, I then believed in its reality.

• Another factor that makes it unique is that the platform provides an opportunity for building great friendships. I have made friends with people from several countries and this gives me an insight into their culture and unique ways of life.

• Steemit social media platform have improved the way I write in a lot of ways. Knowing how to write without copying ones work, citing the references when the need arises, formatting my write up to make it look presentable are skills I have learned by using the steemit social media platform.

° Steemit platform exposed me a lot about cryptocurrency and blockchain. Even though I was not participating in the academy, I usually take my time going through all the lectures for the week. This have sharpened my crypto knowledge and increased my experience with Blockchain.

° I have learnt the value and importance of savings. Few tens of dollar worth of steem can grow to become thousands of dollars over time. That is why I invested in steem and powered it up.

• Steemit social media platform.is also known for its ethical and morally upbuilding contents unlike so many other social media that exposes individuals to unrated contents.

From the points stated above, you can now see why and how steemit social media platform is special and different from there social media.platforms.

^ It provides an avenue of investment for its users.

Disadvantages of the steemit platform

° One can easily get discouraged when the supports are not coming over a long time since votes are not guaranteed.

° It takes so much time and other resources to be an active steemian and if care is not taken family relationships can suffer.

° It cannot be used to do video and audio calls.

Advantages of other media platforms

• They make it easy to communicate with friends and family via messaging.

• They provide facility for audio and video calls.

• They are more user-friendly compared to steemit.

• We can advertise our businesses, creating awareness for what we do on other social media platforms.

Disadvantages

• Users are not rewarded in any way rather they pay heavily to make special advertisements.

• Accounts are not secure since it can easily be hacked.

• Users can impersonate or create fake identities on other social media platforms.

• Having a central source of control is a minus for other social medial platform.
