GENERAL OVERVIEW OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media are platforms which connect two or more persons from different part of the world for social interaction. These persons in connection through the technology of social media can be people who know one another and have met in real life or people who do not know each other but have been connected to achieve a common goal. Social media are varied and different structured but are all out to achieve a common goal - social interaction.
Many social media are used all over the world. Some of these are common to all, while some are peculiar to specific country. Some of these social media are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram Steemit, Discord, LinkedIn, Badoo, Imo, and 2go (gone into extinction in Nigeria).
Social interaction through social media has facilitated, togetherness, friendship, fast passage of news and information around, cross country communication and break of distance between group of people in communication.
By togetherness, I meant family members in different places in a country or different countries can have a group where they share common things, give updates about the current situation of things and also hold a meeting.
Many friends are met in social media across the world today. People who get talking on a social medium may get to know that they share same interests and values. With time they bond and become friends. Some coupled today meet their spouse on social media.
News and information in all aspects of life are easily transfered through social media. As social media do not need a laid down procedure of relating news and information, news and info can be easily travel to the ends of the earth before a news agency broadcasts it.
People from different parts, especially counties can communicate using social media. With hike in the use of call cards, social media becomes a easier way to communicate with friends and families in other countries. Social media communication helps break the distance barrier between individuals in that aside chatting, voice/video calls can be made using social media like Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp. This actually makes distant relationship possible making it possible to talk with a person afar and also see the person.
Write about the social media you use the most daily and why is it beneficial for you or not?
The social media platform I use the most daily is the WhatsApp. WhatsApp is majorly a social media for business and social interactions. It is a platform where you can easily interact with people for personal or business matters. Here, one gets quick and almost immediate response for messages sent. It is easily accessible by all and it does not consume a lot of internet data for communication.
For me as a social media lover, I use WhatsApp more often. As far as my eyes are wide open, I log into WhatsApp multiple times a day. I use it for my business updates which I relate to my customers. I also use it to get business updates from others who run personal businesses. Updates of all types in world are also presented through the use of WhatsApp.
Some times, I stay one the special feature STATUS for as long as possible, feeding my eyes. This helps me get all the necessary updates about all of my contacts who i have interest in checking up their statuses per time.
WhatsApp allows for one on one and group interactions which is not usually possible in many other platforms. This brings together many persons from different part of world.
WhatsApp has different features that makes interaction interesting between users. It allows one to chat in words, send images, make video calls, use stickers and emojis. These all make communication interesting among users.
Why do you think spending more time on steemit than on other social media platforms can help you grow in life and benefits your life?
When I learnt about steemit and started creating content, I saw it to be a different form of social media. My knowledge of the benefits I could get if I give my time and effort, I had to stay away from many of the social media I visited on daily basis. I knew I was only wasting my data and resources in them, I stayed away and focused more on steemit. For a whole week, I forgot about visiting platforms like Facebook and my use of WhatsApp was reduced to the barest minimum.
I think Spending more time on Steemit than other platforms can help me grow in life because:
First of all, I see steemit as a job. Steemit is not a platform where one comes to just create contents or interact and gets nothing as a take home. One is rewarded for the effort. Many steemians who take creating contents here seriously have been rewarded awesomely of which I am part. Steemit is source of income for many of us and we cannot compare it to other social media platforms which are majorly for social interaction with no form of rewards.
Secondly, on Steemit I get to deepen and enlarge my knowledge of cryptocurrency and how the world of digital money works here. This ws the first place in got articles to read which built my knowledge about crypto. I am still learning, the more reason I would love love to stay and spend more time here than other social media.
In the end compare Steemit with other social media platforms by talking about their advantages and disadvantages, and give examples from your personal experience.

In conclusion, we cannot compare the benefits of the Steemit platform to other social media. Though every social media platform is uniquely structured, Steemit flaws all of them.

With no doubt I can say a vast population of the entire world uses WhatsApp on daily basis because of its numerous benefits such as one on one chatting, video calls, voice call and many others
Talking of the steemit platform, yes it's indeed an employment platform which many people have benefited so much financially and I love it most especially as it's a Blockchain that has also made me to have a good knowledge about crypto.

We all use what app but with different reasons, but knowing steemit and you are determined to make it on the platform, you will need to sacrifice a lot of social media accounts for that, cos it needs consistency and patience.

Great post, well detailed and highlighted. Steemit has proven to be the best social platform. It has benefited people in different ways, one of which is rewarding them for interacting and spending time on the platform, this is by far better than an other social platform including WhatsApp.
